“Brand X” – Vintage Style Cigarette Ad

Brand X_DMilano2016

This is my latest piece in celebration of the return this week of The X-Files. I’ve always been a fan of vintage advertising art and wondered what an ad for Morley cigarettes, the favorite brand of a certain shadowy government figure known for his cancer stick obsession, would look like done in that mid-century style. Interesting fact about Morley is it’s a fictitious brand that has been appearing in film and TV since at least the 1960’s including Psycho, Twilight Zone, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and of course The X-Files.
“Brand X” is available as a poster in three sizes through TeeFury at teefury.com/brand-x

This is part of their “I Want to Believe” collection that is up through Feb 1, 2016unnamed

T-Shirt Design “Fighting for Freedom”

Print

I’ve got a new t-shirt design up for sale on teepublic.com for the next 72(ish) hours. Based on the title card for the old G.I. Joe cartoon from the 80’s and S.H.I.E.L.D. from the Marvel comics/films this seemed like something that needed to exist in the world…”S.H.I.E.L.D is the codename for the World Security Council’s daring, highly trained special mission force. It’s purpose, to defend human freedom against HYDRA – a ruthless, terrorist organization determined to rule the world.”

And it can be yours for just $14(plus shipping and such) for the next few days…
